An open letter to the Kentish Mercury and other newspapers by Siân Burr & Peter Kershaw

The Marden Medical Centre Patient Reference Group was formed in November 2011 and exists both to facilitate the work of the Marden Medical Centre in its provision of services to patients and to provide a central point of reference through which the Practice may obtain the advice, views and help of its patients. It is not a forum or a conduit for complaints.

The Group is a not-for-profit organisation, non-party in politics, non-sectarian in religion and non-discriminatory in age, gender and ethnicity. Membership of the Group is free of charge, and is open to all current patients, doctors and staff of the Practice. Please send an e-mail to if you are a patient (or member of the Practice) and would like to join.

The activities of the Group are steered by a Committee of not more than 20 members (of whom all 20 are in post as of April 2015) including the three officers (Chairman, vice-Chairman, Secretary). All members of the Group are both welcome and invited to attend any Committee meeting, but as a courtesy to the hosts (i.e., the Practice) are kindly requested to inform the Secretary if they plan to attend :  this will allow the Practice to ensure that an adequate size room is reserved for the meeting.
